Raja Rajeshwari is one of the powerful forms of Goddess Shakti, the mother Goddess. She has all the power to create the universe and to destroy it. It is believed that those who worship Raja Rajeshwari receive divine and pleasent blessings on them.
People believe that she controls every living being's mind and sensory organs, taking authority over wisdom and knowledge. According to spiritual practises, she stays on the Sahasrara Chakra, which is at the top of the head. Hence those who perform her pooja, are able to control their thoughts and desires.
Sri Raja Rajeshwari temple is situated in Karnataka, which holds all the major celebrations during Navratri. It is said that in the past many rishis, munis, and sadhus including deva rishi Narada and others have appeased the divine mother Sri Rajarajeshwari at this very place and obtained siddhi. During these annual festivals, devotees offer special pujas and homas in temples. Cultural programmes are held on all the nine days of Navratri. Devotees from distant places can be seen in long queues at the temple, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
